Trustees of District No. 14 (Bond)
John T. Curl, Chairman
Know all men by these presents that we Thomas Acuff, David Watson, Charles Reyes, John Robertson, John Acuff, all of the County of Grainger and State of Tennessee trustees of School District No. 14 are held and firmly bound until John T. Curl, Chairman of the Board of Common School Commissioners for Grainger County, and his Successors in Office, in the penal sum of one hundred dollars the payment whereof well and truly to be made. We bind our selves and each of us, our heirs, executors & firmly by these presents
The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the bounden Thomas Acuff, David Watson, Charles Reyes, John Robertson, John Acuff have been duly elected trustees of the school District No. 14 of Grainger County, now if they shall well and truly and faithfully appropriate to the use and benefit of a common school in said District. All sums of money which they may receive from the board of Common School Commissioners of Grainger County

or from any other Source or Sources for that purpose. Then the above obligation to be void otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue.

We whose names are undersigned being chosen Trustees for the fourteenth Common School District in Grainger County Do Certify that there is a comfortable school house in Said District ready for teaching school in agreeable to law in such case made and provided. Given under our hand and Seal this 2nd day of July 1833.
