This database contains an index to approximately 5,300 marriages that occurred in Grainger County, Tennessee, from 1796-1849. The index was compiled from individual original documents, not from a record book. The index was created by the Grainger County Archives and is available here with their permission.

This index is searchable and sortable.  Please note that many records contain only initials, rather than complete given names.   Likewise, some names were spelled phonetically in the records.  Be creative!

Note:  Regardless of the number of matches (hits) that may result from your search, you will only be able to view 50 records per screen.
