Tampico, Tenn.  March 4 – Grainger county has recently lost one of her best citizens. Esq. P F Whitlock died at his residence a few days ago after a protracted illness. He was a man who possessed every characteristic of a man. He was one of the most popular men in our county, having served the people of his district in the capacity of a justice of the peace for many years with efficiency and honor to himself and constituents. He had a host of admiring friends to mourn his loss and will be greatly missed in the community in which he lived. He was a consistent member of the Baptist Church for many years and his Christian character which shown with the brilliancy like that of the gleaming meteor. We tender to his heart broken wife our sympathies in the hour of her sad bereavement. Peace be to his ashes.
