Soliciting Bids to Build New Courthouse, 1846
The undersigned having been appointed by the County Court of Grainger county, Tennessee, for the purpose of superintending the building of a new courthouse in Rutledge, have concluded to let out the contract to the lowest bidder. Therefore we will receive proposals for the entire completion of the said courthouse, until the 29th day of June, next, at which time we will determine the right of refusing any and all bids, if we think they are unreasonable. Any person wishing to bid for said contract, can have the plan and dimensions of said house, by calling in person on us at Rutledge, or by letter.
