Historically, Grainger County has been a predominantly Baptist community.  Those with Baptist ancestors will find a wealth of information available in neighboring Jefferson City, at the Carson-Newman College Library.

The Baptist Archives of East Tennessee is located within Carson-Newman Library’s Special Collections.
